Feelings That Happen to You: Enikku Vishakkunnu, Enikku Ishtamaanu | Spoken Malayalam #030
Description
In English, you are the boss of your feelings: I am hungry, I like mangoes, I understand, I have a headache. So English speakers start with "I", ഞാൻ (njaan), and say ഞാൻ വിശക്കുന്നു (njaan vishakkunnu), which sounds odd, as if you were doing the hunger to someone. In Malayalam, many feelings HAPPEN TO you.
In this episode:

• Liking: ishtam
• The mind: understand, know, remember
• Emotions: scared, sad, happy, angry, fed up
• Aches and fevers
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
