💬 작년에 뭘 했는지는 잘 기억하는데, 지난 주말에 뭘 했는지는 잘 기억 안 나요.

💬 민호 씨는 어때요?

민호
💬 저도 비슷해요. 장기 기억은 괜찮은데 단기 기억이 문제예요.
💬 장기 기억은 오래전 일 같은 것을 말해요.
💬 단기 기억은 오늘 아침에 한 일 같은 것을 말해요.
💬 저도 아침에 뭘 먹었는지 자주 잊어버려요.

💬 맞아요! 장기 기억과 단기 기억이 정말 다른 것 같아요.

💬 최근에 뭔가 기억 안 나서 답답했던 적 있어요?

유나
💬 네, 있어요. 지난주에 친구와 퀴즈 게임을 했는데, 답을 알고 있었지만 빨리 말하지 못했어요.

민호
💬 답이 혀끝에서 맴돌았네요. “혀끝에서 맴돌다”는 알고 있는데 바로 말하지 못할 때 쓰는 표현이에요.

유나
💬 맞아요! 그런 느낌이었어요. 민호 씨도 그런 경험 있어요?

민호
💬 네, 자주 있어요. 특히 사람 이름을 기억할 때요.
💬 얼굴은 기억하는데 이름이 생각 안 날 때가 많아요.

유나
💬 민호 씨는 머리가 빨리 돌아가는 편이라고 생각해요?

민호
💬 아니요, 그렇지는 않아요. 저는 무언가를 이해하려면 시간이 좀 필요한 사람이에요.
💬 누가 저한테 갑자기 의견을 물어보면 바로 대답하기 어려워요.
💬 혼자 생각할 시간을 갖고 생각을 정리해야 해요.

💬 민호 씨는 뇌를 활발하게 하기 위해 뭘 해요?

민호
💬 저는 독서를 좋아해요. 이야기를 따라가려면 뇌를 써야 하니까요.
💬 그리고 새로운 언어를 배우는 것도 뇌에 좋다고 들었어요.

💬 맞아요!  저는 퍼즐 맞추기를 해요.  직소퍼즐이나 스도쿠 같은 거요.
💬 그리고 운동도 뇌에 좋다고 생각해요.

💬 운동이 뇌에 좋은가요?

유나
💬 네! 운동하면 피가 뇌까지 잘 가서 뇌가 활발해져요.

민호
💬 그렇군요. 저도 산책을 자주 해야겠어요.

유나
💬 반대로 뇌 기능을 떨어뜨리는 것들도 있죠?

민호
💬 네, 저는 잠을 못 자면 다음 날 머리가 잘 안 돌아가요.

유나
💬 저도요! 그리고 스마트폰을 너무 많이 보면 집중력이 떨어져요.
💬 특히 자기 전에 휴대폰을 오래 보면 잠도 잘 안 와요.

민호
💬 맞아요. '스크린 타임'이라고 하죠.  화면을 보는 시간이요.
💬 요즘은 스크린 타임을 줄이려고 노력하고 있어요.

유나
💬 좋은 습관이에요. 저도 밤에는 스마트폰을 침대 옆에 두지 않으려고 해요.

민호
💬 그리고 스트레스도 기억력에 안 좋다고 들었어요.

💬 맞아요. 스트레스받으면 집중하기도 어렵고, 새로운 것을 배우기도 힘들어져요.

my mom has a ring and on that ring there is a symbol of tree. When she was a baby her grandmother left it for her as a gift. One day it was raining an my mom stumbled upon a letter that her grandmother had left for her. How did happen? My mom saw a dream and in this dream she saw her grandmother pointing to a place where the letter was stored. Luckily my mom has as an ability to remember her dreams which many people have challenges with. My mom has a special method of doing this. She is recording her dream while sleeping ( she has a notepad next to her bad where she drops some things from her dreams). One days she saw a picture of hair and an elephant in her dream and up to now she can’t figure out what was the dream about. Even though she remembers her dreams from time to time she has challenges too.

How to remember new vocabulary?

On January 1, music magazine Rolling Stone released its list of "The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time," including famous musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Freddie Mercury, and many more.

Rolling Stone first released a list of its "100 Greatest Singers of All Time" in 2008, and has added 100 more artists for 2023.

Aretha Franklin is again number one on the list, with Rolling Stone calling her singing "the most magnificent sound" to ever come out of America.

Next is Whitney Houston at number two, while soul singer Sam Cooke is number three. Jazz singer Billie Holiday is fourth, while pop star Mariah Carey is fifth.



However, some music fans are unhappy that their favorite artists are very low on the list, or aren't included at all.

For example, some Twitter users are angry that Michael Jackson is number 86, while Beyoncé is in the top 10.

Rolling Stone seemed to expect mixed reactions, writing that people should remember that this is the "Greatest Singers" list, not the "Greatest Voices" list.

The magazine said it was looking at things like originality, how many songs someone made and how much they changed music, not just how well they could sing.

Many Twitter users are also angry that Céline Dion was not included on the list — with more than one calling it "a crime against humanity."

The Canadian singer is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with many Grammy awards and even several Oscars for her songs from films, including Titanic and Beauty and the Beast.

Madonna and Justin Bieber are also not on the list, while Ariana Grande and Bob Dylan are.
