Episode #21 - Healthy food?

안녕하세요, 여러분! 오늘은 새롭게 떠오른 한국어 표현인 파묘에 대해 이야기해 보려고 해요. 
이 표현은 원래 “무덤을 파서 옮기거나 다시 묻는다”라는 뜻인데요, 
영어로는 'exhuma'라고 번역 되었어요.
올해 초 개봉한 한국 오컬트 영화 파묘가 천만 관객을 돌파하면서 큰 인기를 끌었죠. 그런데 영화의 영향으로 이 단어가 한국 인터넷에서 완전히 새로운 의미로 쓰이게 되었어요.

파묘의 원래 의미는 "무덤을 파서 이장하거나 고쳐 묻는 일"인데, 영화 속에서 파묘를 하면서 무서운 악령이 깨어나는 장면이 나옵니다. 그래서 이제는 숨겨져 있던 부정적인 진실이나 문제가 갑작스레 드러나는 상황을 가리키는 은어 같은 표현으로 파묘가 사용되고 있어요. 
예를 들어, 누군가의 발언으로 인해 어떤 사건이 폭로되거나, 감추어졌던 진실이 밝혀지는 상황에서 사람들이 "파묘됐다"라고 말하는 거죠.

최근 파묘된 사례로는 '퍼프대디 사건'이 있는데요. 미국의 유명 래퍼인 '퍼프대디'가 엄청난 범죄에 연루된 정황이 언론에 의해 밝혀졌습니다. 
이처럼 그동안 감춰져 있던 일들이 드러나면서 많은 사람들에게 큰 충격을 주었죠. 이런 일이 벌어지면, 한국 사람들은 요즘 “와, 완전 파묘됐네!” 라고 반응해요.

이제 파묘는 사건의 은폐된 진실이 드러날 때를 가리키는 한국식 밈meme 같은 표현이 되었어요. 회사 스캔들이나 공인의 과거 문제 같은 걸 파헤칠 때 이 단어를 많이 씁니다.

어떻게 보면 이 표현을 통해 한국 문화에서 무언가 드러날 때의 느낌, 그 충격과 반응을 생생하게 볼 수 있어요. 다음에 한국 친구들이 “파묘”라는 표현을 사용한다면 “아, 숨겨져 있던 부정적인 일이 드러나는구나!”하고 기억해 주세요.

El gallo y la comadreja

Uno de los grandes educadores de México en los años de transición entre los siglos XIX y XX fue el humanista Justo Sierra Méndez, fundador de la Universidad Nacional de México, actual UNAM. Se distinguió por sus ideas positivistas de libertad, orden y progreso que proyectó en la educación mexicana del Porfiriato. Gran escritor y pedagogo de los textos escolares para los niños mexicanos, a quienes inculcó el "amor a la patria".  sus ideas educativas  impulsaron la libertad, el orden y el progreso en la mentalidad de las nuevas generaciones que hicieron la nueva Revolución política y social, que señaló el cambio hacia la modernización de México en el mundo contemporáneo.
En el año 1910, el Maestro Justo Sierra, Ministro de Instrucción Pública de México, creó la Escuela Nacional de Altos Estudios, para la formación de los profesores que requerían las escuelas profesionales; y perfeccionaría la educación superior mexicana a través de las investigaciones científicas en los campos de las humanidades, las ciencias exactas y las ciencias naturales. Y, también fundó la Universidad Nacional de México, la cual inauguró el 22 de septiembre de 1910, en la conmemoración del Centenario de la Revolución de Independencia de México.

La Universidad Nacional de México se conformó con las escuelas Preparatoria, de Jurisprudencia, Medicina, Ingeniería, Bellas Artes y Altos Estudios. Desde entonces se convirtió en el "Alma Mater" de la cultura mexicana. Posteriormente se reorganizó como Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, la más grande de América Latina, y una de las más importantes del Mundo. Su primer Rector fue el Dr. Joaquín Eguía Lis. Otro de sus grandes Rectores fue el humanista José Vasconcelos, el autor de la obra "Raza Cósmica", cuya idea "Por mi raza hablará el espíritu", se convirtió en el lema de la Universidad.
