Uno de los libros que más me ha impactado nunca es “Armas, gérmenes y acero” de Jared Diamond (premio Pullitzer - 1998). Un libro que, dependiendo de las convicciones religiosas o morales que tengas, te puede aclarar mucho el origen de la sociedad donde vives y de cómo ésta ha evolucionado hasta el día de hoy. 
En este gran libro, libro grande además por cierto, Jared asegura de que los primeros códigos de palabras, los primeros idiomas, localizados en el origen de la humanidad en el sureste de África, eran muy ricos en fonemas sin embargo, opuestamente, los idiomas de las últimas zonas del mundo en ser pobladas por nosotros, como  Nueva Zelanda o la Polinesia, tienen tan solo unos pocos.
