おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

今日は信号(しんごう)のはなしです。

日本にも、世界にも、どこにでも信号はありますね。

青(あお)は、すすんでいい。

赤(あか)はとまらないといけないですね。

ところで、信号の色は何色ですか？

日本の信号は、

赤、青、黄色(きいろ)です。

えっ、でも信号の色って、

青じゃなくて、みどりじゃない？

日本に来たことがある人は、そう思うかもしれません。

いいところに、気がつきましたね。

たしかに、色はみどりなんですが、

私たちは、赤、青、黄色といいます。

これは、いろいろな理由(りゆう)があるのですが、
昔(むかし)は、青色のことを緑色といっていたから、だそうです。

ほかにも、緑色だけど、"青"ということはあります。

たとえば、緑色のりんごは、
"青りんご"といいます。

"青々(あおあおとした)葉っぱ"

"青汁を飲む"

なども、そうですね。

みなさんの、国の信号の色はなんですか？

日本とおなじで、赤、青、黄色ですか？

ESTE CUENTO NOS HABLA DE: El Cuadro.


En un pequeño apartamento, lleno de libros antiguos y objetos extraños, vivía un pintor. Era un hombre solitario, que pasaba horas frente a su lienzo, intentando capturar la esencia de la oscuridad que lo rodeaba. Su última obra, un retrato de una mujer desconocida, lo había obsesionado por completo.

Los ojos de la mujer en el cuadro parecían seguirlo a dondequiera que fuera. Eran ojos profundos, llenos de una tristeza infinita, que lo invitaban a adentrarse en un mundo de sombras. Por las noches, el pintor juraba escuchar susurros provenientes del cuadro, palabras ininteligibles que resonaban en su mente.

Con el paso del tiempo, el pintor comenzó a sentirse cada vez más aislado. Sus amigos y familiares se preocupaban por su estado, pero él los rechazaba. Solo el cuadro lo comprendía, o al menos eso creía él.

Una noche, mientras trabajaba en un nuevo lienzo, el pintor sintió una presencia detrás de él. Se giró lentamente y se encontró con la mujer del cuadro, que se había materializado en su habitación. Era exactamente igual a como la había pintado, pero sus ojos ahora brillaban con una luz siniestra.

La mujer se acercó a él y, con una voz suave pero penetrante, le susurró: "Tú me has creado, y ahora yo te poseo".

A partir de ese momento, la vida del pintor se convirtió en una pesadilla. La mujer del cuadro se convirtió en su sombra, siguiéndolo a todas partes. Lo obligaba a pintar cuadros cada vez más oscuros y perturbadores, hasta que su mente se volvió completamente frágil.

Una mañana, los vecinos llamaron a la policía al escuchar gritos procedentes del apartamento. Cuando entraron, encontraron al pintor sentado frente a su lienzo, completamente inmóvil. Sus ojos estaban abiertos de par en par, fijos en el cuadro. En el lienzo, una nueva figura había aparecido: era él mismo, pero con los ojos de la mujer.

Some people will spend lots of money to keep themselves feeling younger for longer.

But researchers believe there are actually plenty of cheap — and easy — ways to help keep our minds healthier as we get older.

And a new study has found that eating fish may be linked to a lower risk of cognitive decline.

An international team of researchers looked at 35 previous studies on the effects of eating fish on cognitive function.

They found that those who ate the most fish had a lower likelihood of cognitive decline compared to those who ate the least.

Cognitive decline — or impairment — refers to the difficulty that older adults have with thinking, learning, remembering, decision-making and concentrating.

But it's not just normal aging: the term is used to describe a situation where a person's brain functions have changed more than is usually expected as we get older.

It can happen suddenly or over time. And with more people living longer than ever before, experts think we will see more cases of cognitive decline, as well as more cases of conditions like dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

The study found that the risk of cognitive impairment decreased the more fish people ate, starting from about 50 grams per day.

However, the same pattern was not observed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The study authors said that more research would be required to look into the effects of fish on these conditions.

In some parts of the world, fish are a very important part of the diet. But many people in countries like the UK and the US don't eat enough fish, experts say.

Fish contain a range of vitamins and minerals, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, which have been linked to brain and heart health.

However, some experts are worried that our polluted rivers, lakes and oceans are making fish less safe to eat.
