When you say "graduation" in English it usually means the ceremony. Were you graduating?

The Graduate students graduation ceremony was held today. Many graduates were on campus, wearing academic gowns, holding bouquets and taking pictures. However, the weather was not cooperating today. It was showing now and day, (There were occasional showers?) so the students had to hold umbrellas while taking pictures.

They always take lots of photos!
