The sun was shining brightly today. After lunch, Mom and MeeMaw went to church. I stayed at home, practicing the French song I had recently learned. Dad wasn’t feeling well, so he spent the entire afternoon napping. Later, Mom brought home steamed chicken for dinner—my absolute favorite. It was a peaceful Sunday.

Just FYI "MeeMaw" is regional form of grandmother. It is mainly used in the Southern United States. The standard form is either "grandmothe"r or more commonly "grandma". There might be other regional variations.
