An ordeal of COVID-19
I had the coronavirus last month. It was genuinely the worst illness I’ve ever had. It was nothing like a cold nor flu. I had no choice but to rest at home for the first 4 days and afterwards, I stayed in the hospital for 6 days. When I found out I’ve become infected with the virus, I was visiting my parents, so my mum took care of me. To my surprise, she somehow didn’t end up catching the virus from me. That was a relief. I had both the sense of smell and taste, but I was way too sick to the point where I couldn’t eat almost anything, and thus I lost weight badly. Also, I was suffering from a dreadful headache for about 6 days. I’m not even kidding you I thought I would die. Eventually, I managed to get through it and it’s been back to normal with my work and life. Looking at the positives, now I feel more appreciative of my ordinary life. In other words, it made me appreciate small things which we normally take for granted.

Thank you for sticking around till the end of my episode! I thought it would be a good opportunity to write down what happened to me. For those who intend to travel to Japan, needless to say, it is not the right time. However, the vaccine rollout has slightly been making progress in Japan, so we are going to have to hope for the best. Take care and stay safe! ;)
