Is it okay to say "apply to jobs"? I guess apply for jobs sound more natural l. But, I saw the following sentence while reading an article. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

If you apply "to" hundreds of jobs, especially within a short space of time such as two or three months, there's a high probability that you have merely skimmed through applications.

Normally, you apply "to" a company or "for" a job. It's not grammatically incorrect to use a different preposition, but it's not a good idea. I always recommend that students try to use the same prepositions that natives use most often rather than try to imitate less common collocations like the one you've cited.
