So what is difference between present simple and will for habits ?

In this context I think it might refer to the army as something to be proud of.

Pride means both dignity and feeling particularly well about something we have done. Eg: I felt pride when I got my examâs mark. I had worked very hard for it and it had been a difficult one too.

We use âwill or wonâtâ to talk about the future only. There is one use, âspontaneous decisionâ in which you decide something at the same time you express it. But you are talking about a future action anyway. Eg.: at a restaurant -Iâll have a salad and roast chicken.
