Her mother died in front of her in a car accident, which was actually a suicide attempt, and she was sent in an orphanage. She got curious about chess and tried to learn how to play it in the basement. Mr.Shibael noticed how gifted she was at playing chess and decided to teach her. The staff gave her tranquilizers, that caused her to become addicted. She stole a few pills one day and got punished for it. Afterward, she didn't allow herself to play chess anymore. One day, she dropped off at the orphanage and participated in chess tournaments. She was such a talented chess player that she became famous. However, she was still addicted to drugs. One day Mr.Shibael passed away so she came back to the orphanage. This reminded her of her days back when she lived there. The teacher told his students: "Choices have consequences. Your parents had to make certain choices, you will have to make better choices than them." It's so meaningful. Because we always make many different choices, but I didn't think about it.
