You can be ecstatic to see something or find something out, or alternatively 'delighted', or even be ecstatic to he doing something (present continuous) but not to do something generally (present simple), because ecstatic is a feeling in the moment an intense form of pleasure, so I don't think it works with the present simple, which implies a regular action.
