Not sure what you are trying to say but this sounds very unnatural in English. If you are try to suggest someone’s contribution to something is lacking you could say: His contributions to the album were weak. His contributions to the album lacked any character or depth. You can say something is sterile, in the sense that it is devoid of emotion or lacking in any real character, but keep in mind this is not a kind way to word it and this would be an awkward way to word something like this.
