I strongly believe that people should read books instead of watching films. Books are often more compelling, they enable readers to create their own world and convey an original message wholly. Firstly, reading requires more time and effort, and this is why this activity is more creative. While reading a book you rely only on yourself. There are no other people, directors or actors, with their own vision that may not coincide with what you are feeling at the moment. Secondly, plots in films are abridged because of time limits. A great amount of nail-biting moments can be omitted. As a result, films are not really faithful to books and not as captivating as they could be. Finally, some film-makers see the acting stage as a place for solving social problems. This is how a huge number of people of different races and genders started playing in films. The thing is, that they don’t match characters’ description in books so spectators can experience some discomfort. In conclusion, whilst a lot of people decide to watch films, reading books is much more beneficial.
