The Tim じぁん!!!
It's sunny today. Last night, my mom told me something funny. It turns out that my grandpa, who is convalescing, didn't behave at all. As everyone knows, it's smoke-free in the ward. He almost triggered the smoke alarm, and of course he was stopped in time. However, it wasn't over. He then sneaked past the nurse's station, stole a wheelchair, and went off to smoke. Some nurses got reprimanded due to his deed. I wonder how he managed that as a partially disabled older man. On the bright side, it means he's probably recovering well, right?

You are using the word “convalescing” correctly, but it’s not a very common word. I’ve seen it in writing but I don’t think I’ve heard anyone use it when speaking. You’re much more likely to hear “my grandpa is recovering in the hospital.”

Haha! Very good. Seems like he’s getting better and the nurses won’t want him there!
