When you meet difficulties, you need to try your best to find ways to solve the problems. I believe in most cases there is always a way if you try hard enough. For example, when I was first in the new school, I found it extremely hard to give an efficient class because the students’ level were so low and their attitude were so bad. Some students even gave up studying. At first, I nearly gave up and thought it was not my responsibility and I couldn’t change them only by myself. Anyway I would leave there in a year. But one day when I read that we should take responsibility for everything that happens in our life and we can do something to make it better. I changed my idea. I showed high expectations for them and made strict rules for them. In the mean time I have enough patience to wait for them to change under my guidance. Now I am happy most of them have made great progress and are willing to make great efforts to learn.

When you meet difficulties, you need to try your best to find ways to solve them. I believe in most cases there is always a way if you try hard enough. For example, when I first started teaching at my new school, I found it extremely hard to give an efficient class because the students’ levels and attitudes were so bad. Some students even gave up studying. At first, I nearly gave up and thought it was not my responsibility, and I couldn’t change them by myself. Plus I would be leaving the school in a year anyway. But one day, I read that we should take responsibility for everything that happens in our lives and we can do something to improve it. I changed my approach (or mindset). I now maintain high expectations and strict rules for my students. And in the meantime (while they adjust to this new standard), I have enough patience to wait for them to change under my guidance. Now I am happy: most of them have made great progress and are willing to make great efforts to learn.
