A slip of tongue
Last week, I got to talk to the department manager about my payment. I believe there must be something wrong with it because I constantly had missing pay. I don't checked the transaction details in my bank app very often, that's why I didn't noticed this problem earlier. While we were looking over my payment at her office, I wanted to tell her, at my first year, I got even more money than my second year here. But this is really weird because my department actually gave me an increase of my salary . I'd say paying too much taxes might be the reason why I got less money . I accidentally said how would I receive less money after 'sex' rather than 'tax'.
Both of us immediately burst into laughter. I then told her, ''because of bad performance? No way '' I am not sure if it's apporiate to say the second sentence in the U.S but I don't really care.
Another expample happened this weekend. When I discussed the upcoming students retreat with the program manager, I accidentally said 'chicken 'leader but what I wanted to say was 'kitchen'leader.
Well, I guess all I need is some whisky and get drunken after these embrassing moments.

Last week, I got to talk to the department manager about my pay. I believe there must be something wrong with it because I constantly had missing pay. I didn't check / don't check the transaction details in my banking app very often, that's why I didn't notice the problem earlier. While we were looking over my pay at her office, I wanted to tell her that, in my first year, I got even more money than my second year here. But this is really weird because my department actually gave me a raise (in pay) .

Hahah! These things can happen to anyone, especially if it's in a foreign language. I once accidentally asked for 20 goats in a chinese supermarket!
