Tuteur communautaireGerman Word of the Week: Fingerspitzengefühl 🤏✨
Have you ever known exactly what to say or do in a delicate situation?
In German, we call that Fingerspitzengefühl.
Literally, it means “fingertip feeling,” but it describes something much more subtle: having tact, sensitivity, and an instinct for handling a situation just right.
For example:
„Sie hat viel Fingerspitzengefühl.“
➡️ “She has a great deal of tact and sensitivity.”
It's one of those German words that can express an entire idea in just one word. 😊
Is there a similar expression in your language?
