Here is a picture of the Korean ginseng chicken soup 삼계탕 that I had recently :). There are many different recipes for it, but my mom always puts ginseng, jujubes, garlic, chicken and glutinous rice together in a pot and boils the soup until it thickens :). It tastes pretty similar to a typical chicken and rice soup you can get at an American family restaurant but is definitely heartier. Since 삼계탕 is known to boost energy quickly, Koreans usually eat it in the summer when the temperature can reach 35-38 degrees Celsius nationwide. That's why I had it too 😁.  As a side note, Koreans refer to eating "stamina-boosting" dishes like 삼계탕, 장어(eel) as "보신하다(to rejuvenate the body)." Some of you might be familiar with this term because the name of the Korean dog meat soup 보신탕 comes from it.  Have you tried 삼계탕 before :)?
