Does “even” as an adjective have a meaning of “exactly, to be exact”? Below is a conversation from a tv show, Friends, and i’d appreciate it if you could help me with the meaning of “even” in the context. (I get the joke here, so no need to explain the whole sentence by the way, thanks in advance!) Joey: Hey, I got something for you. 812 bucks. Chandler: Well, I dont know what big Leon told you but it’s an **even** thousand if you want me for the whole night. What is this for? Joey: well, i’m making money now and this is paying you back!

"Even" is an adverb, it's meaning can change depending the sentence. In that context it means exactly that amount of money.

Yes, you can think of "even" as "exactly" or "precisely." It is exactly $1000.00, not rounded up or down, e.g., $995.99 or $1000.38, respectively.
