"Sonst" ist mehr wie eine Bedingung, die erfüllt sein muss: "Das Wetter muss gut sein, sonst gehen wir nicht spazieren." "Ansonsten" ist mehr wie eine Alternative: "Du kannst Deine Mutter fragen, ob sie die Antwort weiß. Ansonsten /alternativ kannst Du auch im Internet schauen.
