Questions about a sentence.
(Though a sentence is long , my questions are easy to answer due to answering just with Yes or No)
And when the lights in the dormitories had all been put out, and Millstead at last was silent under the stars, he loved above all things the strange magic of his own sense, that revealed him a Millstead that nobody else had ever seen, a Millstead rapt and ethereal, one with the haze of night and the summer sunshine.(original)
All my Questions are related to grammar.
1. was the "Millstead" a man?
2. he = Millstead?
3. all things the strange magic of his own sense = all things that are the strange magic of his own sense?
4. that revealed him a Millstead that nobody else had ever seen = the strange magic of his own sense revealed him(him = Millstead) a Millstead that nobody else had ever seen?
5. a Millstead rapt and ethereal = another Millstead who was rapt and ethereal?
6. one with the haze of night and the summer sunshine = one person who has both the haze of night and the summer sunshine?
each of former is of original, the respective latter is my guess.
