Hello! if someone have a free minute, could you please correct my story?
I was expecting to have a very quiet day, but it was turned out to be exactly the opposite. That day I went to buy goods in our nearly store. I needed to buy some food like bread, eggs, milk, because my mom asked me. The store was not too far, it would take about ten minutes to walk there.
But during the walk I noticed some pink purse right in the middle of the road. It was big and full of coins. My first thought was: "Should I pick it up?" After some thoughts, I decided to pick it up and return to owner. How I expected, it was full of money, definitely enough to buy also some chips to me. And there was no owner me in the purse. "How I should return it?", I asked myself. But some good thought came, that I can pick it and look for the owner at the street.
But there was no one at the street, and I headed to the store. And there I saw a cashier and some girl talked. I heard some words and it was turned out that the girl wanted to buy a few pencils, but she lost her purse. I didn't think a lot and give her the purse. She was glad, but suspicious. After some explanations, she was thankful to me.
So, since that day she and I has become best friends. I was really grateful that I returned the purse. It was worth it.
It was exercise where the first sentence was given and you need to continue it. I will be glad any corrections both grammatical and about a plot...

Here is my suggestion. Hope it helps:
I was expecting to have a very quiet day, but it ** turned out to be exactly the opposite. That day I went to buy goods in our *nearby* store. I needed to buy some *foods* like bread, eggs, milk, because my mom asked me *to*. The store was not too far, it would take about ten minutes to walk there.
But during the walk I noticed *a* pink purse right in the middle of the road. It was big and full of coins. My first thought was: "Should I pick it up?" After some *thinking*, I decided to pick it up and return *it* to *it’s* owner. *As* I expected, it was full of money, definitely enough to *also buy* some chips *for* me. And there was no *information of the owner* in the purse. "How I should return it?", I asked myself. *suddenly* *a* good *idea* came *to me*, that I can pick it *up* and look for the owner *on* the street.
But there was no one at the street, and I headed to the store. And there I saw a cashier and some girl *talking*. I heard some words and it ** turned out that the girl wanted to buy a few pencils, but she lost her purse. I didn't think a lot and *gave* her the purse. She was glad, but suspicious. After some explanations, she *thanked* me.
So, since that day she and I *became* best friends. I was really grateful that I returned the purse. It was worth it.
