Very good! You could also consider sayng this in a slightly different way: "In Japan it still feels like summer. It is very warm. Fall is my preferred season because of the temperature and the food. I love the sweet potatoes in fall." It is also useful to note that sweet potatoes belong to fall food, since it is not necessarily so clear just said like it was orginally.

It's too hot now in Japan. It's like the summer. I like fall best because of the cool temperature and good food. Sweet potato is my favorite food, so I really like this season🍂🍁
