His research along with his admonition for others to begin studying the psychology of creativity has been leading to an explosion of studies and numerous theories on creativity. The plethora of creativity theories developed over the past thirty years necessitated that scientists group the current theories into 10 categories.

Very professional use of English! I’m not a psychologist, but this is very impressive. I can’t tell you if creativity theory is the correct technical term for example. I have used commas to make it easier to understand. I changed plethora, and the sentence is simpler now.
