April 5, 2022 I saw an animated film, On-Gaku: Our Sound, which is a comedy with deadpan humor. This film made me laugh a lot. I love it so much! The reason I saw this film is that director Lin had mentioned it before as a reference. After watching it, I tried Googling it. I found out that the story behind this film is very touching. The director and the manga author have spent 7 years on this project. Because they didn't have any/enough money, they drew this animation frame by frame. The director had never made an animation before. So he used real people to act, recorded it with a camera, and then transferred the images to drawings. That sounds a little bit clumsy, but finally they finished this job and got a lot of awards and praise. This story made me so happy. I hope I can make my own film like them.
