'Suicide' means to kill yourself. 'Squad' means group or team of people. The two words together form a multi word noun and specifically refers to a group of fighters who will sacrifice their lives in a battle if that is necessary to win. If you are talking about the DC Comics "Suicide Squad" I guess they have that name because they are prepared to die , if necessary.
