Tuteur communautaireDo you like ice cream?
What about cheese?
And what about ice cream with cheese?
Well, that’s something you can find in Ecuador.
Why?
I have no idea.
It is not something traditional. Ice cream with cheese wasn't a thing when I was a child, but now you can find it everywhere.
The first time I tried it was about five years ago.
One of my best friends took me to an ice cream shop and we got that weird mix.
I like ice cream, and I like cheese, but both together….
I couldn’t finish it.
It was too “empalagoso.”
That’s a word we Ecuadorians use to describe something which tastes good (and generally sweet), but it has a “very strong flavor”, so you can’t eat a lot of it.
Anyway, when a friend who haven't tried that ice crean yet wants to try it, I get one for me too, that way my friend feels less weird.
