It also, when used on its own, "¡Vamos a ver!", is a phrase we use to mean that others around you must stop what they are doing at the moment and/or pay attention to you.

For instante, when a child is behaving badly, or you are talking to someone and that person begins to speak alone about something that doesn't have much to do with the thing you where talking about. In both cases it is usually followed by other words that explain what you mean.

I think that:

"ya veremos"  or

"veremos"

Are more accurate translations to we'll see.

vamos a ver....>>>

"we're going to see"  or

 "let's see"

Como recomendación te diría que uses en la mayoría de los casos "ir a" para hacer el futuro, trata de no conjugar los verbos. En el habla cotidiana se oye más natural.

Él comprará el pan (formal) - Él va a comprar el pan (natural)

Pagaré mis deudas más tarde (formal) - Voy a pagar mis deudas más tarde (natural)

jugarán hoy en mi ciudad (formal) - Van a jugar hoy en mi ciudad (natural)

Y así... Las conjugaciones en futuro suenan arcaicas en la lengua hablada.
