Another three that come to my mind immediately in Europe:
- Stromboli in Italy
- Mount Vesuvius, also in Italy
- Eyjafjallajökull (don't ask me how to pronounce this) in Iceland; its eruption in 2010 blew ash up into the atmosphere and interrupted air traffic across Europe for days.
Volcanos are fascinating!
I can tell you the name of some of the more important volcanoes in south america.
1. Maipo, Chile
2. Chimborazo, Ecuador.
3. Cotopaxi, Ecuador
4. Tungurahua, Ecuador.
5. Cayambe, Ecuador.
5. Nevado del Ruiz, Colombia
6. Maipo, Chile.
7. Urbinas, Perú.
I encourage you to inquire more about Ecuador. It is a country with a lot of active volcanoes.
