解：设甲管单独注满空池需x 小时，乙管单独注满空池需y 小时，那么，可以得出二元一次方程组如下：

1/x + 1/y =1/12 (1)

3(1/x+1/y)+15/y=1 (2)

把方程（1）代入方程（2）得：3/12 +15/y=1

15/y=9/12=3/4 (3)

方程（3）等式两边乘4y得： 60=3y y=20

把y=20代入方程（1）：1/x=1/12 -1/20=(20-12)/12x20=8/240=1/30, x=30

答：甲管单独注满空池需30小时，乙管需20小时。
