This app is or is getting useless for people who speaks a language that is not "popular". I've been using this app since last May and I didn't find any language partner yet. Nobody texts me, nobody replies. I'm sure you're all busy, but I really can't see the utily of using this site when you're not an English teacher (or a handsome guy, probably..)
Hey this is not a Japanese high school, you don't need to behave like soldiers, people here use cold and austere words as if they were fighting for their academic degree. I'm sure I'd be treated better if I was an English speaker or a model, but this is not important. I'm gonna say it for the last time, because that isn't fundamental for my life: I'm looking for a serious language partner to practice my skills, if you don't care about my personal story or appearance, please text me, I'm friendly and kind. Yes, I'm like a crying baby who gets offended when he can't get what he wants. I'm not, but you're completely free to think I am, no worries. Have a good evening/day.

it's not a useless application (maybe it's better to call it a website). Though my English is not bad at all, I learned a lot following some discussions here on Italki where there are some outstanding and cultivated English speaking members. Now and then, I also look up discussions in other languages just for the fun.
I write notebook entries and some generous Italki users correct them. I found also some marvelous teachers. So maybe you are not selecting correctly the users with whom you would like to make a language exchange, do not write to those who specifically say that they have no time. Read the profiles, read the discussions. Maybe you are too picky or fishing for compliments (Grzybek assured you that you are good looking)....
By the way, your comment about Japanese schools could offend some Japanese members...so if you go around carrying stereotypes it will not be easy to find friends...."E'un po' come tirarsi una zappa sul piede"
Your profile says you have 20 friends. What's wrong with them? Just because you haven't found a language partner yet, doesn't mean the site is useless.
Do you really think that Italian is not a popular language?
