Some of the ones you have listed are compound nouns, but some of them are not. Most of them actually seem to be nouns being modified by a second noun functioning as an adjective. You can learn about it here:

News: newspaper, newsreader

Parking: parking permit, parking fine, parking ticket

Street: street sweeper

Subway: subway network, subway map, subway line, subway users, subway pass, subway ticket, subway worker, and of course, Subway sandwich! ;)

Taxi: taxi driver, taxi rank, taxi fare

Bicycle: bicycle pump, bicycle stand, bicycle chain, bicycle shop, bicycle repair kit

Bus: bus driver, bus conductor, bus fare, bus ticket, bus pass

Traffic: traffic cone, traffic warden

Train: train driver, train ticket, train tracks, train carriage, train engine, and (in Britain but probably not in Japan or Germany) train delays.
