As we know, Apple launched iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X(ten) on September 12, 2017, but where had iPhone 9 gone ?

Yeah , most of us know it was for celebrating iPhone 10th anniversary, so they skipped "iPhone 9”.

Here I'd like to share another answer which is more interesting that I heard from my English teaching radio this morning.

They said that's because "seven eight (ate) nine ". iPhone 9 was eaten by your iPhone 7.

Ok , so was Windows 9.

This might be very familiar to English native speakers , but it's really new to us. And it's so COOL ! 

When I decided to write this, I did some browse, then I found something MORE interesting about this that I have to admire the intelligence of the netizens. I'm afraid that I couldn't translate it very well. But let me try .

Hundreds of years ago, there was a secret in Pyramid which was built by ancient Egyptians. It said , numbers were not invented by human beings, actually they were the rules of the world. It allows the earth to run in a cycle of 7 days. In the first six days, there are six numbers be in charge of the world , but in the seventh day, only Number 9 controls the world (The Bible said that God made the world in 6 days and rested in the 7th day. Are these similar ?)

Day 1, the Numbers in charge of the world are 142857;

Day 2, 142857×2=285714;

Day 3, 142857×3=428571;

Day 4, 142857×4=571428;

Day 5, 142857×5=714285;

Day 6, 142857×6=857142;

Day 7, 142857×7=999999.

For now, we can find that 9 is the most powerful number.

And why there is no “3,6,9” in the first 6 days? There's another secret.

If we multiplied by any integer to 3,6,9,  then add the numbers on each of the digits, we'll find that the final result is still back to themselves.

For example , 

3×4=12,  1+2=3;

3×5=15,  1+5=6;

3×6=18,  1+8=9;

…

3×121=363,  3+6+3=12,   1+2=3;

3×122=366,  3+6+6=15,   1+5=6;

3×123=369,  3+6+9=18,   1+8=9.

And, let's see the numbers from 1 to 9,  1+2=3,  3,  4+5=9,  6,  7+8=15-----1+5=6,  9.

Again, "1,  2,  4,  8,  7,  5", 

1+2=3

2+4=6

4+8=12,  1+2=3

8+7=15,  1+5=6

7+5=12,  1+2=3

5+1=6

What did you find? Yeah, all the results are 3,6,9. Obviously, 3+6=9. 9 is exactly the KING of the numbers.

So he guess,  Apple didn't produce iPhone 9, that's a special way to pay their respects to the most mysterious and powerful number :)
