Idk how to guess the word sounds. Should I learn IPA? otherwise I'd have to listen to every word?

It is a smart investment, as many words sound very different from how they are spelt, say chagrin, indict, raison d'^etre, etc. ... Like Phil said, it is only a handful of relevant symbols and they port over to any other language you may want to learn.

You only need to learn those IPA symbols that are relevant to your target language. Yes, it would be very helpful to you. Here's a website that you may find useful (note there is even a link for the "website version" of the app):

Hi Agatha! I suggest youy to do both! At the beginning it will be annoying and even frustrating, but your english will improve faster ;)
