Whats the best way to keep yourself motivated on learning a new language ? Every day people all around the world start a LANGUAGE LEARNING PROJECT

They get excited and ready to go! Start watching youtube videos or even buy different materials to help them in there journey... Unfortunately it doesn't last long.

They get frustrated, tired or fall into the procrastination cicle:

" I'll do it later ..."

" Tomorrow I'll do it for real ! "

" I rested this week... but I'll compensate for it this next week "

All that I wrote is based on what happened to me, to my friends and a few of my students. It's really sad when we give up learning a new language and the main reason being is the lack of motivation.

If you went (or if you are going) through this, share your story. Tell us what you think about the subject. How can we keep strong on learning a new language ? Strategies, ideas, etc.

It helps me the most to have a sincere and PROACTIVE language friend and myself being one also. There are language websites and servers where few thousand people are subscribed but they all wait for others to take initiative and makes such community become a dead one. Great pity because those people will not reach the goal they want to, or perhaps they don't want to reach their goals bad enough.

It is also a deal if someone asks me to help him/her that it has to be a weekly practice and everybody in my group has to work for a JLPT or TOEIC to practice with me. We live in a time where you need to know several languages to get a decent or good job. I do not approve broken English or broken anything = LAZINESS to learn basics because with anything, trying to build something on a weak foundation will never be solid.
