"Ask her" to "Ask to her"

I am confusing and want to know either is there is way to say "Ask to her" or "Ask by her" instead of only saying "Ask her" or "Ask Jennifer". because when I translate "Ask her" in other languages specially in my native language we use preposition between "Ask & her"

for example
Ask her = Ask to her (the translation look like this)

Ask her/him = is natural English.

"ask of him/her" = you are saying  you wish to ask him/her something specific, or you are asking someone else to ask him.her.

ask to him/her is incorrect in English.

"ask about him/her" = is correct in English it means you are inquiring about their condition/welfare whereabouts etc.

Ask takes a direction object and an indirect object.

I will ask a question about work. [a question = direct object]

I will ask a question about work to her. [her = indirect object]

I will ask her a question about work.  [her = indirect object]

This pattern is common in English.

I will give a birthday gift to him.  [a birthday gift = direct object;  him = indirect object]

I will give him a birthday gift.
