When I was preparing for my exam I read every day the BBC (other articles too) I wrote down the unfamiliar words and expressions(cambridgedictonary) I wrote lots of essays about different topics when I was close to the exam I was listening a lots of English(materials of English learning and on my own interest too). I tried to be active in italki too:) There are lots of ways to prepare. Good luck!
