One of the funniest names I ever came across is that of Mrs Schönfleisch-Backofen. Her maiden name was Schönfleisch (beautiful meat). Then she got married to a Mr. Backofen (baking oven) and combined the two names. My dad once had a colleague with the name Freudensprung-Hinkebein (joyful leap - limping leg).

In Cantonese, There are a lot of funny last name. for example, Zhou xin yu: 周新玉 its' sound is called 周身肉 Zhou shen rou。if it were called a girl that means her shape is full of meat. I think it is funny one.And 徐定富 is same, its sound is called 徐定裤。 that means taking off the pants. if you know Cantonese or Chinese, You will figure out what I say.

Well, no one can pronounce my last name correctly. It apparently means "shelter" or "a secluded place". Though my last name originates from another country.
