I agree with Meryem and Ian.
Having lived in so many different countries and continents and traveled (still doing it) extensively around the globe, There is no such thing as "more friendly" country.
Our false perception comes from the cultural difference and the wrong interpretation of diversified behaviour, expression form or body language.
I have friends everywhere I've been and once you understand and embrace other people's habits, traditions and mode of expression they naturally become super friendly and welcome you.
Let's not forget that we all look weird and strange to the others as well :)
showing interest and appreciation towards another culture and language is the best if not the only way to find friendly people wherever we are.
