What's step 1 to learn Japanese?  Konnichiwa! ^_^ I'm a Filipino-Japanese. I want to learn more about Japanese.. I'm not yet good in it.. But i'm willing to learn :)
I know some basic words, but i'm not yet good in speaking. I don't know how to write yet.. Should i learn Katakana, Hiragana, Kanji or Nihongo first?

I started out learning Hiragana and Katakana immediately and then worked my way into Kanji.  That way I could at least read texts that had Furigana (small printed Hiragana/Katakana on top of the Kanji). It also helps get rid of the "romaji" crutch right from the beginning.
