"ESE" AND " AN" DO YOU KNOW????

everyong know how to write American, Germans,Australian, Canadian...... But im confused why the people in China are called Chinese? but Chinaman,Chinan....yes, and Japanese,Vietnamese ,Portuguese......

As far as i know, the ESE is just discrimination .right? wut do u think abt??

It's not discrimination. European languages have two suffixes, that's all. Notice that the French and Portugues (for example) use the " -ese" ending to refer to themselves -- "français," "português." Likewise, "Hollansk," "Dansk," "Svensk," all use the " -nsk" ending which is etymologically the same as the English "-ese." Likewise the Slavic languages with " -ski." Come to think of it, the " -ish" ending in "English" is also cognate. (Proto European "-i(n)sko")

It has nothing to do with discrimination.  It's just the way the English language developed.
