Anneonghaseyo! Ji ireum-eun (name)imnida. I'm still having a hard time when it comes to introducing myself! In some places I see it as Ji ireum and in some others it's like 'chonin'. Can anyone help??
It's actually 'je' instead of 'ji.' This is the formal way of saying my. So 'je ireum' is 'my name.' On the other hand, 'chonin' or 'joneun' is bsically saying I am. So one way of introducing yourself is 'I am Trinity' and the other is 'My name is Trinity.'
I am Trinity: choneun trinity-yeyo, choneun trinity-imnida.
My name is Trinity: je ireum-eun trinity-yeyo, or more formally: je ireum-eun trinity-imnida.
I hope that helps!
