Than there're more than one tropocalismo's) http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropicália I know what is bossa nova... though it's hard to confuse it with jazz, bossa nova is very distinct. I'm not a great fan of it, though i rather like it. I hear it here in the Russian TV-advertisments for World Cup and surprisingly there's no modern samba:) So thanks for the links!
oi, eu estou aprendiendo a falar portugues, eu escuto musica para desenvolver meu oido
eu gosto de dois gupos Natiruts y CHimarruts
tem musica muito bonita
Argentina only music that I know is tango and the group los Pericos.
Nowadays, It's rare people listen music in spanish language, but in the past was common romantic music and some pop music.
I don't speak portuguese, but I agree with you. Music helps a lot to learn languages and also some about the culture.
I like a bit the music from your country. In Argentina sometimes they can be listened at discos. Is it common to hear Spanish music in Brazil too?
By the way, one of my favourite songs is "Lambada" of Kaoma (nice group).
