How to enlarge and enrich vocabulary and sentence patterns in a short time?

I'm Senior 3 student who's gonna attend some exams including giving speeches and chatting fluently with others in English. I wanna make my oral speaking more vivid by enlarging my vocabulary and enriching various sentence patterns. There's only about 4 months left with much work to do at school. I'll be very grateful if you would like to share some useful methods^^
