Hey there! I have been a Community Tutor on this platform for five months now. It's been great experience, specially because it fits my current lifestyle very well with my own schedules. I would love to know about your experiences as teachers as well :)
I do wonder one thing, how do teachers on Italki manage their calendar with all their classes + other priorities (out of italki)?
I mean, do you only rely on Italki Calendar? Do you use any Management app? Or a physical notebook?
How do you keep track of your income, taxes, students...?
From my personal experience, I know that I am a messy person as default. So, I immediately relied on an external application to keep track of all my students and lessons.
The app I currently use is Airtable (it's sort of like Google Spreadsheet, but much more :D)
It has enabled me to organize everything my own way and it works marvelously. It gives an easy way to keep track of everything I input (from students information, how every lesson goes, what to do next class, monthly income, % of new students...) The list is infinite, it all depends on what you want to know clearly about. It even lets you create an automatic "form" to fill when a new lesson is scheduled, for instance.
I can talk more in detail about it if anyone is interested in this. My intention is actually to make a quick video tutorial + share the link of the template of my own table (of Airtable) so that the rest of the teachers can use it for themselves.
I did spend quite a decent amount of time building the table from scratch but since it's done already, I would love to see if it can benefit more people than only myself :)
