The story of the crepe Crepe is a dessert based on flour, milk and eggs. It is usually round. A crepe have to be cook on its both faces with a frying pan. It could be eat it hot or cold, salted or sugary. It could be a dish or just a snack. We could add some things inside for example fruits, whipped cream, sugar, jam or some things salted like mushrooms, ham, cheese, salmon. In my country we eat it for parties.. Generally, crepe using for dessert uses white flour wherease the salted crepe uses brown flour. Unlike the american pancakes, we don't use yeast. The crepe is thin and easilly folding. At Shrove Tuesday we cook crepes. This recipe is very commun in my country and also in Belgium. In Quebec, people use wholemeal flour and eat it with cassonade, jam or maple sugar. This crepes are three times more thick than French crepes. Every countries have its own crepes. The recipes are similar. For example, some crepes have made with buckwheat, corn flour or chickpea flour.
