hi, i have a question, i would like to know if exist ["there is" is common but your could also say "there exists" it's just way more formal] a rule that say [says] when you use thing and when you use stuff. thanks

I think that "stuff" is more commonly used when referring to more than one object, i.e. "This stuff is mine." "Thing" would probably be used to refer to more specific things, like "Saying 'dude' is my thing."
