Personal Autobiography My name is Gu Xuding. I am 26 years old and male. I was born in Jining, Shandong Province. There are four people in my family including me，my parents and brother.Both of my parents are peasants. I completed elementary, junior and senior high school in Jining. I often did farm work with my parents before entering university. I was influenced by my father’s positive, responsible attitude. Since childhood, I’ve been taught by my parents to make friends with people around and always keep good manners in public. Besides, I am athletic, and I often do running, body-building, and martial arts. Of course I do admit that I have some shortcomings. I can be shy when speaking in the presence of large crowds of people. Sometimes I am hesitant in making quick decisions. But I’m sure I will be able to overcome them. In 2005, I entered YanTai University and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture Science.When I graduated, I worked as Breeding technologist assistant for 3 months in Yantai Aquaculture Farms. I was responsible for making daily farming programs and operating them.For the reason that work conditions and salary couldn’t meet my request, I taked the postgraduate exam. During the peried of master degree education, I studied cellulase production by the fermentation of Trichoderma reesei, and degradation of natural cellulosic biomass by cellulase. I gradually became interest in my research field, making me have some creative ideas. I committed to improve cellulase production using several carbon resources , but failed due to the conditions being poor in my laboratory. But I suceessed in improving enzymatic saccharification of bagasse by pretreatment. Genencor, the enzyme preparation company, which can provide a very good platform for me. Although I did reasearch for three years in the university, but working atmosphere of my university was different from that of Genencor. So I want to apply for positions of R&D assistant or internship about enzyme production. With my research interests, advanced understanding and learning ability, I believe I can do this job.
