Random: what does this word mean? To me, it sounds like this: Dam-i-kard I'm sure its a verb but google hasn't helped me much. I've heard this word at persian restaurants and persian rap songs.

To me, it sounds like this:

I'm sure its a verb but google hasn't helped me much. I've heard this word at persian restaurants and persian rap songs.

 

if you have heard it in restaurants, it's maybe " dam-mi-kard = دم می کرد ". if I'm right, it's the equivalent for " to stew " and it's often used fr " tea " ---> " چای دم می کرد =  He/she was stewing the tea ". this verb can be used for rice, too.

 

for more information " دم کردن  = to stew " --> دم می کرد is in present tense.

حدس شما درست است کلمه به احتمال زیاد فعل است.درست متوجه کلمه نشدم اما 2 حدس می زنم اگر کلمه ما دام کردن بادشد که دام در فارسی به معنی ambush (as a noun) در زبان انگلیسی است و دام کردن یا دام نهادن یعنی گرفتار کردن یا در شعر به معنای عاشق خود کردن و فریب دادن می باشد. ولی حدس دوم من شاید کلمه دعا کرد باشد که در این صورت به انگلیسی می شود to pray translation I think you are right the word probably is a verb but I am not sure that I correctly understand your word there is two choice as the meaning 1-Dami-kard maybe means ambush (as a verb) in poems ambush sb means try to enchant sb 2- The correct verb in Persian maybe is Doa kard, if so it means to pray
